ForrestWorks recording, coming soon!

FINALLY, things are coming together for a recording of my concert choral works from the last few years. I’m moving forward on the artwork and mastering, and the duplication is mostly lined up. I hope to have CDs in-hand by sometime early this fall… It will include all of my Hinshaw publications up to this point besides How Firm A Foundation, as well as “in paradisum…”… I’ll finally have a recording to give to people who ask for one- I’m sorry it’s taken this long!

I’m excited to have my brother doing doing the photography and design for the CD cover, as well!

USC website

Arise Shine is currently the lead-off track on the USC Choral Website. I heard them sing it last fall, and they were magnificent!

Back from Pine Lake

Back from Pine Lake now- had a great time there, met lots of great people, and really enjoying presenting to them. Now, a few days, and the school year will be upon us!

Happily, I wrote one more church anthem last week, that was due in August- glad to have that done!

Now, I’ve got to finish up my setting of Anthony Silvestri’s “Over Havet”- a beautiful poem about the life of a Norwegian immigrant, commissioned by Tracy Resseguie, who will take the new piece on tour to….NORWAY in a few months. The piece is in honor of Tracy’s grandfather, and Tracy’s choir will perform the piece at the island church his grandfather attended. Doesn’t get any cooler than that!!!
